Cedar Park Regional Medical Center Announces Addition of Outpatient Clinics

Cedar Park, TX (February 23, 2010) - Cedar Park Regional Medical Center (CPRMC) announced today plans to launch four outpatient clinics, each providing new health services to our community.

The clinics will provide a variety of services including Internal Medicine and Geriatrics, OB/GYN, Occupational Medicine and Family Medicine, which are all projected to be open by April 2010.

CPRMC also announced the addition of a new team member, 13-year healthcare technology veteran, CJ Cannaday, who will coordinate the outpatient physician clinic operations and manage, direct, plan and administer business aspects of the CPRMC outpatient clinics. He offers extensive administrative and executive management experience.

“I feel extremely fortunate to love what I do and have a sincere desire to continue learning and growing with the healthcare and technology industry to better position it for our future,”  said Cannaday. “I look forward to serving the community of Cedar Park and surrounding areas. I am very excited about the growth of Cedar Park Regional Medical Center and what we will be able to offer the community as a whole.  It’s truly my pleasure to be able to provide Thoughtful Care to our community every day.”

Natasha Harrison, M.D., specializing in geriatrics and internal medicine, began seeing patients in November of 2009 at her new clinic, Cedar Park Adult Medicine, located in the Cedar Park Regional Medical Office Building. Dr. Harrison is board certified and is currently taking new patients. Medicare and Medicaid are accepted.

John Thoppil, M.D., specializes in obstetrics and gynecology and has begun seeing patients temporarily at an Avery Ranch Clinic. His practice, Cedar Park OB/GYN Associates, is planned to open its permanent location at the CPRMC Medical Office Building by April 2010. The CPRMC Occupational Medicine Clinic is slated to open in March 2010 with Larry Wilson, M.D., at the helm. This new service will provide technologically advanced workers’ compensation for many participating employers in the community at an affordable cost.

"Dr. Wilson is a talented physician with a unique set of skills and extensive experience in the occupational medicine field," Carol Schmoyer, ACEO, said. "I am excited he has chosen our community to dedicate his talents and serve injured workers and employers."

A Leander family medicine clinic will also begin seeing patients this spring, led by Luis Egelsee, M.D. Family First Healthcare will provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art care for community members. With only a handful of primary care doctors currently practicing in Leander, Dr. Egelsee and his team will help meet the needs of this growing community.
