Robotic Assisted Surgery Now Available at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center

Cedar Park, TX (October 21, 2009) - Cedar Park Regional Medical Center (CPRMC) announced today the successful completion of its first robotic-assisted surgeries performed by Carl Bischoff, M.D., a urologist who recently joined the medical staff at CPRMC. Bischoff performed three kidney related procedures including a pyeloplasty as well as a left radical laparoscopic nephrectomy.

“The da Vinci® Surgical System, provides a surgeon improved visualization, enhanced dexterity, and control. Patients experience shorter hospital stays, less pain, less risk of scarring, and faster recoveries,” said Dr. Bischoff.
