Outstanding Cedar Park Regional Nurse, Joni Ramirez Receives Patient Choice Award

Cedar Park, TX (May 11, 2010) - During National Nurses’ Week Cedar Park Regional Medical Center (CPRMC) asked the community to nominate and recognize outstanding nurses who delivered excellent patient care. Thirteen Cedar Park Regional nurses were nominated by former patients, and Joni Ramirez was chosen as this year’s Patient Choice Award winner. Joni is a Registered Nurse who works in the hospital’s Medical/Surgical unit and was recognized by one of her patients who thought Joni went the extra mile to make her comfortable after surgery. Joni has been with Cedar Park Regional since March 9, 2009 and will be presented with the Patient Choice Award on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. by CPRMC’s CEO, Tim Adams. “Joni exemplifies Cedar Park Regional’s Thoughtful Care. She goes above and beyond her clinical experience to deliver extraordinary compassionate care for all of her patients,” said Jessica Kiehle, Interim Chief Nursing Officer, “We are excited that her extraordinary nursing care has been recognized by her patients and we are very pleased to honor her with this award!”
The Patient Choice Award exists simply to honor nursing excellence and is given to one outstanding nurse at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center each year. Patients may nominate nurses for the award year-round by emailing Cathie_Sierega@cedarparkregional.com.
