Cedar Park Regional Medical Center Honored for Gains in Quality of Patient Care and Treatment by the Texas Medical Foundation
CEDAR PARK, TX. (MAY 11, 2012) - Cedar Park Regional Medical Center (CPRMC) received a silver award for gains in key clinical areas that advance the quality of care in the facility at a ceremony by the Texas Medical Foundation Health Quality Institute on May 3, 2012. The awards program was established in partnership with the Texas Hospital Association, Texas Medical Association, Texas Organization of Rural & Community Hospitals and Texas Osteopathic Association.
According to Tom Stanciu, MD, Chief of the Medical Staff, “Cedar Park Regional Medical Center is very proud to receive this award. We are dedicated to maintaining a ‘quality culture’ through our commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement in our core measures.” The Health Care Quality Improvement Award is based on performance in key clinical areas, including acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care.
To be considered for the award, hospitals were required to collect data on the quality indicators for four quarters beginning in October, 2010. Hospitals self-nominated for participation in the program and 167 Texas hospitals were recognized by the Texas Medical Foundation at the event.
