Cedar Park Regional Medical Center’s Birthing Center offers expectant parents the comfort of home-like surroundings and amenities, the flexibility to accommodate your family, and the support and expertise of our nurturing, dedicated obstetrics team.
Our beautiful and spacious labor and delivery rooms are designed to provide a warm and comforting environment, with wood floors, redwood cabinetry, soft ambient lighting, an iPod docking station and Wi-Fi for bedside Internet access. Our birthing suites also feature a baby bassinet, matching futon sleeper for expectant fathers and a rocker recliner for comfortable cuddling with your new baby. These lovely suites also have large bathrooms equipped with deep tubs to soothe moms in early stages of labor (with physician consent).
Childbirth Classes – We host childbirth classes for new moms or those who would like a refresher taught by independent instructors who are not employees of the hospital. Information Via Our Website through Our Health Resources – When you visit our homepage and click on the Health Resources link, you have access to a wealth of current information on pregnancy and childbirth.
Lactation Consultant – Our staff is experienced in providing breastfeeding education and support. In addition, we have a certified lactation consultant on-staff to assist when needed.
Membership in Tiny Toes – This Tip-Top OB Club provides important, educational information for expectant mothers in addition to a complimentary copy of What to Expect When You’re Expecting to help guide you through your pregnancy, and a VIP discount card to use at a variety of local businesses that cater to you and your little one.
A Skilled Team – Our labor and delivery staff have specialized experience in childbirth support and newborn care.
Tours - Expectant mothers are encouraged to tour our Birthing Center and meet our staff. Tours take approximately one hour, and we ask that you bring no more than a total of four individuals on the tour, including any siblings (who are welcome if they are four years or older). Tours take place every Wednesday at 5:15 pm and are offered on a walk-in basis on the third floor.

Breastfeeding support is offered by an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) who visits the Birthing Center Mondays through Fridays. Outpatient consultations are available as needed after your discharge from the hospital.
A monthly breastfeeding support group also provides a forum for exchange of ideas and discussion of common breastfeeding concerns. The group meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the third floor conference room.
