Cedar Park Regional Medical Center Hosts Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive to Fight Hunger

CEDAR PARK, Texas. (Feb 21, 2024) – Cedar Park Regional Medical Center invites community members to join the hospital's efforts to fight hunger by participating in the second annual Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive benefiting Hill Country Community Ministries and Reveal Resource Center. Peanut butter is a sought after item for food banks because of its high nutritional value and long shelf life. Yet, it is one of the least donated items. The Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive kicks off on March 4, 2024 and will run through March 25, 2024. Building on the success of last year’s drive, Cedar Park Regional Medical Center’s goal is to donate more than 500 jars this year to Reveal Resource Center and Hill Country Community Ministries.

“We recognize the impact hunger has on an individual’s health and wellbeing, and we want to help those in our community who are struggling with food insecurity,” said Sean Tinney, CEO, Cedar Park Regional Medical Center. “An estimated 12% of people in Williamson County are facing food insecurity. Our Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive is a great way to partner with community members to reduce hunger in our area.”

To support Cedar Park Regional Medical Center’s efforts, members of the community are invited to join in this important initiative to fight hunger in Williamson County. To donate, simply stop by one of our three collection sites and drop off your nut butter donation.

Collection Hours: 7 days a week from 6 a.m. - 8 p.m.
