Leap Into Heart Health
1/19/2024
At Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, we’re committed to helping people in our community live healthier. That’s why we are excited to share our plans for American Heart Month this February and to ask for your participation and support.
Since 2024 is a “leap” year, we’re inviting everyone – and that includes you – to “Leap into Heart Health.” Everyone who signs up will receive emails every other morning in February containing short, fun-filled, fact-packed, potentially life-altering articles and healthy heart tips. We’ll share ways to “spring” into action, “skip” past stress, “hurdle” over bad habits, “hop” into bed earlier for better rest, and other ways you can take “steps” that may improve heart health by “leaps and bounds!”
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, responsible for one in five adult deaths. Every year, about 800,000 Americans suffer a heart attack. And, nearly half of U.S. adults have high blood pressure, a leading risk for heart disease, but only one in four people with high blood pressure has the condition under control. As a leading provider of healthcare services, we know these stats all too well.
But, here’s the good news— there are many things we can do to reduce our risks related to heart disease and to live a heart-healthy lifestyle. So, I hope you will “jump” on the bandwagon, sign up, and leap into heart health with us this year.
Sign up for “Leap into Heart Health” here.
And then, invite your family, friends, neighbors and everyone else you care about to sign up, too, and join our efforts to promote good health in name of community as we all do a little bit more to take good care of all our hearts.
