Childbirth Education
Please be aware that for your safety, the Childbirth Basics class is offered only on a virtual platform. Other childcare and breastfeeding classes and support groups are offered either virtually or in-person.
Free Childbirth Class
A two-hour birthing basics class will be taught by a knowledgeable labor and delivery nurse. This course is designed as a review for moms or to supplement what new moms are learning from books, friends and more intensive child birth courses. It provides orientation to the hospital and what to expect during labor and delivery. We will review the stages of labor, when to come to the hospital and how to manage labor pains. We will take a tour of Women's Services and develop a postpartum birth plan for breastfeeding and bonding with baby. The free class is held on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and registration is required. Register online here.
Breastfeeding Support Group
The Breastfeeding Support Group meets as a group on a virtual platform every Wednesday at 11 a.m. To attend this free resource, please register on our events page. You will be contacted by the presenter with further instructions and a secure link to the group.
